Fairy Tales & upcoming shows

Published about 1 month ago • 1 min read

Hello lovers!

Here’s to the April showers and May flowers that are stirring the strings of our heart. We hope you’re blooming, too!

Here’s some updates on recent shows and a couple of opportunities you’ll have to see us in the next few weeks.

Fairy Tales at Waller’s Coffee Shop

We were fools for love on April 1st, when we played a set at the legendary Waller’s Coffee Shop in Decatur. What a cool listening room. It was fun to see so many smiling faces.

Because it was April Fool’s Day, we couldn’t resist doing bits. Kristi introduced herself as Steven, Steven introduced himself as Kristi and we dedicated the set to Mr. T (aka, “I pity the fool.”). But all jokes aside, it was a lovely opportunity to harmonize and spotlight some original songs we haven’t taken out for a spin before. And Steven got applause for his guitar solo on Wild Winds. If Mr. T had been there, I’m sure he would have said, “His guitar goes helluva fast.” What a fun night!

We just posted a video of our song Fairy Tales from that show, in case you missed it. Footage from the Undiscovered Artists Showcase we played at MadLife should be up soon, too, so be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel. :)

Upcoming shows

We’re thrilled to be entertaining this weekend for a volunteer appreciation event for Congressional District 9 county leaders. They wanted to keep our magic for themselves, so you won’t be able to join us for that event, but here are two more chances to see us, so add us to your calendar!

  • April 23, 7-9 pm at Suburban Tap: 1318 Johnson Ferry Rd, Marietta, GA 30068
  • May 27, 7-9 pm at Eddie’s Attic: 515-B North McDonough St. Decatur, GA 30030 (venue is upstairs)

Let us know if you've got a local music venue you'd like us to bring our magic to & feel free to share our music with your friends.

Believe in magic!

Hello lovers! It's so crazy that it's only been a year and a half since Steven and I started writing songs together because we're quickly approaching the 100-song mark. Because we have so much music to share, we've been looking for places where we can share more than a handful of songs. We had a great time playing Suburban Tap, Waller's Coffee Shop and the private DC9 event over the past few weeks. Up next: May 19 from 2-5pm: Love Your Neighbor - Sautee, GA (FREE) We're the featured...

Hello lovers! We had a big week last week! On February 13, we did our professional gig at MadLife in Woodstock, entertaining about 115 people with our love songs. We also submitted a video of LAVENDER for NPR’s Tiny Desk Contest (a dream of ours). If you listen closely, you’ll notice some jingly percussion right before the bridge. No, that’s not bells, it's Buba Jin, one of five dogs not so patiently watching us play. He felt the urge to shake himself up and get closer to the love. If you...
