Sweet sounds in the sacred valley

Some places speak to you in a special way. Sautee Nacoochee is one of them. Our friend Lisa swears it's located along a 'creative' ley line. Based on the number of songs we've written around Kristi's kitchen table or that have popped into our heads while hiking the hills around this sacred valley, we have to agree.

It's always a gas playing for friends and neighbors. But returning to the Sautee Center felt really special. It was our first time headlining the outdoor stage for an official concert. In the audience, we spotted some friends we'd made playing the two kings in A Midsummer Night's Dream this summer. (Steven was Theseus, king of men, and Kristi was Oberon, king of the fairies). Kristi even spied the entire Rocket family dancing in a ring during Fill Me With Wonder.

The show also marked our debut as a quartet! Rita Atkinson joined us on fiddle, and Rob Albertson played drums. We hope to bring them out for more festival and big-sound shows.
