Privacy policy

Mayberry Wine, LLC, the band, runs mayberrywine.com. This policy explains what information we collect through the site and our mailing list, how we use and share it, and the choices you have. You can reach us at magic@mayberrywine.com.

Information you give us

• Your email address, when you sign up for our mailing list. The sign-up form asks for nothing else.
• Your email address and message, when you write to us.
• If you subscribed through our previous mailing list provider, Kit, before this site launched, the first name you gave there, if any.

Information collected automatically

• The IP address your sign-up came from, and the dates you signed up and confirmed.
• A count of recent sign-up attempts by email address and IP address.
• A record of each newsletter sent to you, and any report from our email provider that one bounced or was marked as spam.
• Standard technical information our hosting provider may record when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you request.

We do not use analytics or advertising trackers.

• To send the newsletter you asked for, after you confirm your subscription from the link in our confirmation email.
• To prevent abuse of the sign-up form.
• To stop sending to addresses that no longer exist or that report our email as spam.
• To reply to messages you send us.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only with the service providers who help us run the site and our mailing list:

• Vendetti Studios, which built the site and runs our mailing list
• Neon, which hosts the database our mailing list is stored in
• Resend, which delivers our emails
• Vercel, which hosts the site
• The provider that hosts our email inbox, for messages you send us
• Kit, our previous mailing list provider, which still holds the list of subscribers from before this site launched

Embedded content on the site loads directly from other services, as described below.

We do not set cookies. The site uses your browser’s storage for basic features: it remembers, for the current tab only, that you have seen the welcome screen, and it keeps the band signed in on its own sign-in page.

Some content loads directly from other services. Song previews stream from Apple when you press play. Images, videos and players from YouTube, Vimeo, Spotify, SoundCloud and Bandcamp load from those services, which may set cookies under their own policies.

Because we do not track visitors across other sites, the site does not change its behavior in response to Do Not Track signals.

We keep your information for as long as you are subscribed. If you unsubscribe or report our email as spam, we stop sending to that address and keep it on a do-not-mail list, so you are not added back or sent our newsletter again unless you confirm a new sign-up yourself. If your mailbox no longer exists, we stop sending to it, and the sign-up form will not take that address again. We may keep other records of your subscription after you leave, such as a record of the newsletters sent to you. You can ask us to delete your information at any time. If you do, we will delete it, except that we keep your email address on a do-not-mail list, so you are not added back or sent our newsletter again unless you confirm a new sign-up yourself.

• Unsubscribe at any time with the link at the bottom of any newsletter, or with your email app’s unsubscribe button where it shows one.
• Email magic@mayberrywine.com to access, correct or delete your information. If you ask us to delete it, we will, except that we keep your email address on a do-not-mail list, so you are not added back or sent our newsletter again unless you confirm a new sign-up yourself.

The site is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it, except that we keep the email address on a do-not-mail list, so it is not added back or sent our newsletter again unless a new sign-up from it is confirmed.

The site is served over HTTPS, and access to our mailing list is limited to the band, Vendetti Studios and the service providers named above. We take reasonable measures to protect information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the effective date at the top of this page.
